Will Smith made a series of stunning revelations about his marriage and the one thing he won’t allow at home during the latest episode of Red Table Talk.
Smith took a seat at the red table with wife Jada Pinkett Smith for the season 2 premiere of her Facebook series.
“For years and years there’s been a lot of speculation about us and our family has been pretty secretive, not secretive, just private,” Will said, while chatting with Jada, her mom Adrienne Banfield-Jones and daughter Willow.

The Bad Boys actor then admitted, “I’m excited to sit down and tell the truth.”
Will said Jada made him do a double take when he first saw her on A Different World. He went to a taping of the show to meet her, but another woman caught his eye — his first wife Sheree Fletcher.
After marrying Sheree, the actor realized he’d made a mistake.
“I wasn’t with the person I was supposed to be with,” he explained.
Will said he would “never” get divorced, but Sheree wanted to end the marriage.
“Sheree filed for divorce on Valentines Day. I was like, ‘Ouch. Ouch.’ and I still told her ‘no.’ You can’t have a divorce.”
After the marriage ended, he immediately called Jada — who had left Los Angeles and moved back to Baltimore.
“I literally walked right out from there, I called Jada,” he explained. “I said, ‘Hey Jada, what’s up, it’s Will … are you seeing anybody?’ She said, ‘Uh, no.’ I said, ‘Cool, you’re seeing me now.'”
“My dumb ass was like, ‘okay,'” Jada said before laughing.
“We did not have an affair while he was married,” she noted.
Two years later, Jada got pregnant. But she said she “never wanted to be married.”
“We only got married because gammy was crying,” Will said about his mother-in-law.
Jada didn’t want a big wedding, but her mom insisted. Still, the actress described their wedding day as “horrible” and said she “cried the whole way down the aisle.”

At the time, she was three months pregnant. Her mom recalled Jada was sick and “very unpleasant” at the wedding.
“I just never really agreed with the construct. I just don’t agree with it. I never have. I still don’t,” Jada said about marriage. “Till death do us part is real for me. It’s just all of the rules and ideas… because of this title ‘wife’.”
Will said they had fights over the years, but he banned his wife from cursing after she told him to “shut the f–k up” in front of a group of people.
Will responded by hitting Jada in the head with a newspaper.
“I was like, ‘did this joker just hit me in the head with a newspaper, like I’m a dog?” Jada said jokingly.
Will noted there’s an important reason he didn’t tolerate profanity in his family.
“I grew up in a household where I watched my father punch my mother in the face and I will not create
a house, a space, an interaction with a person where there is profanity and violence,” he said.
“If you have to talk to me like that, we can’t be together,” Will added. “We’re not going to use any profanity in our actions, we’re not going to raise our voice, we’re not going to be violent. I can’t do it. I said, ‘get out.’ She was like, ‘So wait, you would break up with me over some words?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, I just did.’ Her eyes swelled up and she was like, ‘okay’.”
The Smiths have been married for almost 21 years. They plan to share more details about their relationship on part two of the episode.
