The first trailer has dropped for Wendy Williams: The Movie, and it’s just as messy as you might expect.

Williams gave fans a first look at the video Thursday on her syndicated talk show, just before she interviewed the film’s director, Darren Grant.

The Lifetime biopic stars Ciera Payton as Williams and Morocco Omari as the daytime diva’s ex-husband, Kevin Hunter.

“I’m becoming a real business and I’ve been trusting you to take care of all of this,” Payton says to Omari’s Hunter in the trailer.

In real life, Hunter served as an executive producer on The Wendy Williams Show, but he exited the series last year as his marriage unraveled amid reports that he fathered a child with a massage therapist.

The trailer also takes on Williams’ addiction issues, her fainting spell on live TV in October 2017, and her headline-grabbing interview with Whitney Houston.

According to a description from Lifetime, “The authorized project provides a revealing look at Wendy’s journey, from her scrappy upstart days in urban radio to the success of her own syndicated talk show.”

The movie is produced by Front Street for Lifetime and executive produced by Williams, Will Packer and Sheila Ducksworth. Grant directs from a script written by Leigh Davenport and Scarlett Lacey.

Wendy Williams: The Movie premieres Saturday, Jan. 30 at 8 pm ET/PT, followed by the documentary Wendy Williams: What a Mess! airing at 10 pm.
