Michael Rapaport is getting mixed reviews for his guest hosting gig on The Wendy Williams Show.

The True Romance star is filling in for Williams until Nov. 12, but some of the daytime diva’s loyal viewers don’t think the actor is the right fit.

@Phllp_Wnslw tweeted, “Who is hosting The Wendy Williams Show??! ABSOLUTELY NOT. Y’all tryna get the girl canceled.”

While @charlyxnicole responded to the post: “Who knows. I can’t bother to watch him. Sherri Shepherd did a great job last week!”

@dustyhalos also wants Shepherd back and tweeted: “Sherri has been the best temp host, so far! Whitney was pretty good too.”

Over on Instagram, the show posted a clip on Tuesday of Rapaport discussing Faith Evans and husband Stevie J deciding to pull the plug on their marriage. Some fans weren’t impressed with Rapaport’s take on the situation and said it’s time for the Wendy show to break up with the actor.

@chroniclespeaks replied, “Tell Wendy just to call in and do the show from the phone at this point cause what is this????”

Added @iamcrystalerika: “And he got a week lol oh lawd help us all.”

@linat1333 wrote, “He’s so boring.”

Still, other Instagram users disagreed and gave Rapaport props.

@sarah_naila_ wrote, “Michael Rapaport is doing a really great job hosting. Better than all the ladies so far. Keep him around for real.”

Added @icyy18, “I love Michael Rap so much.”

While @bosschixk2019 chimed in with: “He is doing a great job.”

A string of guest hosts have been filling in for Williams, including Shepherd, Leah Remini, and Whitney Cummings since season 13 of the daytime talk show kicked off in October.

Before returning, the premiere date was pushed back several times due to Williams contracting a breakthrough case of COVID-19, and complications from her previous diagnosis of Graves’ Disease.

Williams broke her silence on Monday about missing the show, writing on Instagram: “I’m a woman of a certain age, and I know enough to listen to my doctors and will return to my purple chair as soon as we all agree I’m ready.”

Although she did not elaborate on what exactly is currently wrong.

Next week, actor and comedian Bill Bellamy (The Bounce Back) will take over hosting duties from Tuesday, Nov. 16 to Wednesday, Nov. 17, and talk show veteran Jerry Springer will tag team with fellow daytime host Steve Wilkos from Thursday, Nov. 18 to Friday, Nov. 19.
