Gibson ended the touching video by saying, “I’m going to hold your hand for the rest of my life, ok? Everywhere I go, I’m going to hold your hand the way you held my hand when I was a kid. Every journey this life takes me to from here on, you’re going to hold my hand, OK, Mom?”

In the caption of the post he wrote: “This is the saddest moment of my life. My sweet Valentine just passed away. May the Lord Jesus Christ and his angels open the doors of heavens and embrace her.”

“From here on I ask that you hold my hand mother and never let my hand go. Like you held my hand as a child and a teen never let my hand go mother,” the actor and singer ended the post.

His mother went into a coma on Feb. 5 after catching pneumonia and COVID-19. Tyrese posted a photo of the moment he was notified that his mom was ill, while he was on a film set.

At the time, the 43-year-old star asked his friends to pray for him and to text him because he was too distraught to talk on the phone.
