TV One will get in the holiday spirit this December with the premiere of original movie, Dear Santa, I Need a Date.
The film stars Ray J, Reagan Gomez-Preston, Anne-Marie Johnson, Jay DeVon Johnson, MAJOR, Reginae Carter and B. Simone. The script is written by Kourtney Richard, with Terri J. Vaughn directing the film.
“Ray J and Reagan Gomez-Preston are so fun as brother and sister,” Vaughn said in a statement. “And the cherry on top was getting Anne-Marie Johnson to play their mother. She’s so funny, and I’m such a huge fan of hers. I know the audience will have a lot of fun watching this hilarious cast!”

Per a network description, the comedy tells the story of successful and ambitious siblings Janelle Vaughn (Gomez-Preston) and Jason Vaughn (Ray J). Their parents, Mr. Vaughn (Jay DeVon Johnson) and Mrs. Vaughn (Johnson), are proud of their children’s flourishing careers, but are displeased with their dating lives. Every holiday season, the Vaughns anxiously prepare for their children to bring home a significant other, only to be disappointed. This year, The Vaughns apply pressure, sparking a bet between the siblings on who can find a date by Christmas.
Dear Santa, I Need a Date premieres on Sunday, December 8 at 7 P.M. ET/6C, followed by an encore presentation at 9 P.M. ET/8C.
