President Donald Trump has attacked another journalist on Twitter, this time criticizing Kristen Welker.

The NBC News White House correspondent and Weekend Today co-anchor has been tapped to moderate the final presidential debate on Thursday, Oct. 22.

“She’s always been terrible and unfair, just like most of the Fake News reporters, but I’ll still play the game,” Trump tweeted Saturday. “The people know! How’s Steve Scully doing?”

Trump’s tweet was in response to his son, Donald Trump Jr., who shared a link to a New York Post article alleging Welker’s family has “deep Democrat ties.” Trump Jr. tweeted: “Yikes! Here we go again.”

An NBC spokesperson told Politico Welker is registered to vote in Washington, D.C. with no party affiliation.

Trump Jr.’s here we go again dig was in reference to Steve Scully, a 30-year C-SPAN veteran who was suspended indefinitely on Thursday.

The journalist landed in hot water with his employer after admitting to lying about his Twitter account being hacked when he reached out to former White House communications chief Anthony Scaramucci on the platform, and asked if he should respond to Trump’s attacks.

Scully was supposed moderate the second debate between Trump and Joe Biden, but it was canceled when Trump refused to participate in a virtual format following his COVID-19 diagnosis.
