Tori Kelly provided an update on her health Thursday, following reports that she was hospitalized for blood clots after collapsing days earlier at a restaurant in Los Angeles.

As she recovers, the 30-year-old gospel singer posted a handwritten note on her social media channels saying she is improving

“Hi friends … as you may have heard, I’m dealing with some unexpected health challenges,” she shared. “It’s been a scary few days but I can feel your prayers and can’t stop thinking about you.”

“I’m feeling stronger now & hopeful but unfortunately there are still some things to uncover,” she continued. “I’m so grateful for the amazing doctors & nurses who have been looking after me.”

The Grammy winner assured fans she still plans to release her EP Tori on Friday.

“Of course I’m heartbroken about all of the things I had planned for this week of releasing my EP, but I know my health must come first,” she added. “Until I see you again, I still want you to enjoy a project that represents the happy place I’ve been in the last few years. I won’t let this hurdle prevent the music from being yours on Friday!”

Kelly collapsed on Sunday night at a restaurant in downtown L.A., and was transported to a hospital.

TMZ first reported Kelly’s health crisis on Monday. A source told the outlet her heart started racing at dinner and she passed out “for a while.”

Just before the singer was hospitalized, the Hollywood Bowl announced she would be performing at a 90th birthday tribute concert this weekend for Quincy Jones.
