Tributes continue to pour in for Tito Jackson, after the original Jackson 5 member’s death at age 70.

Jackson passed away on Sunday, Sept. 15, after suffering an apparent heart attack while driving from New Mexico to Oklahoma, as previously reported.

The singer rose to fame as a child, performing alongside his brothers Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael as the Jackson 5.

The group signed with Motown Records in 1969, taking the family from their humble beginnings in Indiana to global stardom.

Tito’s son — TJ, Taj, and Taryll — who formed the music group 3T, honored their father with a tribute on Instagram Sunday after his death.

“We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken. Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being,” TJ, Taj, and Taryll shared.

Others in the music world have since paid their respects.

Drummer and producer, Questlove posted on Instagram: “All of the Jackson brothers are heroes to me. I really don’t have the words right now. May the entire Jackson family find comfort & peace In this moment. Thank You Tito. rest in melody @poppa3t.”

Former Jackson 5 drummer Jonathan “Sugarfoot” Moffett shared an emotional tribute on Instagram.

“There is great, great sadness in my heart, spirit, and soul tonight. My wife and I just left and walked out of a movie we were watching at a theater just now….as she received a text from a very close friend…. that my brother in heart and spirit, Tito Jackson has just passed away. I’m stunned and devastated to receive and hear this disheartening news. I love Tito like my brothers of blood relation. I’m stunned and dismayed. May God and Jesus Christ receive his soul and spirit with open out stretched arms and welcome him into Heaven’s gate…this is my most sincere prayer this night, this day, this month, and now….this year. I’m at a loss of spirits,” he wrote.

The Jackson 5 was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1997. The organization remembered Jackson Monday on Instagram.

“Tito Jackson helped to define Motown in the 1970s, contributing vocals on many of the J5’s hits, including ‘I Want You Back,’ ‘ABC,’ and ‘The Love You Save.’ When the Jackson 5 transformed their sound and rebranded themselves The Jacksons in the mid-1970s, Tito’s role increased, as he began co-writing songs with his brothers and adding his rhythm guitar playing to their recordings. He went on to work as a session player and producer and re-emerged with several R&B hits including ‘Get It Baby’ and ‘Love One Another,” the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame shared.

Jackson is survived by his sons, his siblings Jermaine, Randy, Marlon, Jackie, Janet, Rebbie, and La Toya, as well as their mother Katherine Jackson.

As of publication time, Tito’s siblings had not posted public tributes.
