In two words, Tia Mowry squashed the hopes of Sister, Sister fans for a reboot of the popular 1990s series.

The actress and producer participated Tuesday in a trending TikTok video dance called “Questions I get asked all the time.” She responded to the question on whether there would be a reboot of the show with “No sorry!”

The 43-year-old also gets asked if she’ll be joining the upcoming Paramount+ remake of The Game, to which she also said no. Adriyan Rae (Chicago Fire), Vaughn Hebron (The Oval) and Analisa Velez (Sneaky Pete) are joining the cast of the revival, which mixes new players with the original actors.
Mowry first starred with her twin sister Tamera Mowry on Sister, Sister, when the series debuted in 1994 on ABC. It ran for six seasons after it was picked up by the WB channel and co-starred Jackée Harry and Tim Reid.

Although there were rumors a few years back about a revival of the series, Mowry told Wendy Williams during an interview in March that she had “to put a pin in it.”
“Nothing has happened and it’s very frustrating. And it actually makes me very sad because you know, Tamara and I, we can’t make the show,” she said. “We don’t own the rights to it, unfortunately. So that’s one of the main reasons it hasn’t happened is because some rights have to be released.”
She went on to say some outlets didn’t think the show would be popular enough for a revival.
Looks like Sister, Sister fans will have to stick to watching re-runs of the show to see two of their favorite twins on screen.
