The hosts of The View cheered, did “The Wave,” and thanked God after learning Fox News star Tucker Carlson had been fired.

Carlson and CNN host Don Lemon both lost their jobs Monday morning. But it was Carlson’s exit that brought smiles and applause at The View.

Show moderator Whoopi Goldberg shared the news with the audience that the conservative cable news host was out, a week after Fox settled a defamation lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systems to the tune of $787.5 million for election lies.

“Word has just come down that Fox News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways,” the Oscar-winning actress announced as the audience applauded.

Goldberg then threw her hands up in the air and encouraged the other panelists to do “The Wave” around the table.

The Color Purple star told viewers the ABC daytime talk show would have more on Carlson’s ouster tomorrow, but Ana Navarro needed a moment to celebrate — today.

“Can I ask the audience if they’ll help me do something?” Navarro asked. Seconds later, she began waving her arms and broke into song. “Come on folks! Na na na na. Na na na na. Hey, hey, hey. Goodbye!”

Sunny Hostin then chimed in and thanked the almighty for Carlson’s firing.

“I don’t think anyone likes to celebrate the demise of someone’s career, but he is responsible for the degradation that we see somewhat of our democracy in this country,” she said. “And I just think, as a faithful person, Look at God. Look at God!”

Even former Trump administration communications strategist, Alyssa Farah Griffin, was giddy.

Griffin said Carlson needed to go because he’s been “the biggest purveyor” of pro-Russia talking points about the war with Ukraine.

“It’s a good day for the Ukrainian people as well,” Griffin said.
