ABC’s The View is heading into the weekend.
The network has announced The Weekend View, a 30-minute expansion of the popular daytime talk show, that will air on the 24/7 streaming platform ABC News Live.
Whoopi Goldberg, who moderates the daytime talk show Monday to Thursday, won’t be part of the weekend shows.
Instead, the episodes will be hosted by The View’s Friday panel — moderator Joy Behar and co-hosts Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Ana Navarro.

According to the weekend show’s description, the episodes will spotlight the week’s biggest entertainment stories and the buzziest news topics trending on social media. With fresh “Hot Topics,” the co-hosts will bring their signature mix of candor and humor.
The weekend installments will also include “Behind the Table” segments, where executive producer Brian Teta joins the co-hosts to unpack pop-culture moments from the week.
“In addition to having its most-watched linear season in four years, The View is finding success meeting viewers wherever they get their content, from podcasts to YouTube, and now with new exclusive streaming content for the weekend on ABC News Live,” said Brian Teta in a statement.
Now in its 28th season, The View is America’s most-watched daytime talk show for the fifth year in a row, per ABC.
The new series marks a first for ABC News Live, with RoC Skincare as the exclusive sponsor in an integrated branding partnership.
The Weekend View premieres on Saturday, Jan. 11, at 7:30 a.m. EST on ABC News Live.
ABC News Live is available on Disney+, Hulu, YouTube, ABCNews.com, the ABC News and ABC News Live apps.
