Tamron Hall is coming back for a second season.

Karey Burke, president of ABC Entertainment, made the announcement Thursday in a statement praising host Tamron Hall’s ability to “engage with viewers.”

“As one of the highest-rated new talk shows in five years, Tamron Hall is connecting with audiences in such a powerful and unique way and we are thrilled to build on that momentum with a second season,” Burke said. “Tamron’s authenticity and her stunning ability to engage with viewers is remarkable and we look forward to continued success working with our incredible station partners.”

The syndicated daytime talk show premiered in September, two years after Hall’s exit from NBC News and the Today show in 2017.

“I’m honored to host and executive produce a daytime talk show that explores conversation topics that really matter to our viewers, who we affectionately refer to as our ‘TamFam,’ ” Hall said. “From inspiring interviews with guests like Tyler Perry and Kelly Rowland to in-depth discussions on issues like the opioid epidemic and domestic violence, nothing is off limits – we’re here to ‘talk about it.’”

Among stations carrying the program are Disney’s eight owned and operated ABC stations — in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Houston, Raleigh-Durham, and Fresno.

Hall executive produces the show with The View veteran Bill Geddie. Talia Parkinson-Jones serves as co-executive producer.

News of the renewal comes after NBCUniversal announced in November that it had picked up The Kelly Clarkson Show for a second season.

Nick Cannon is also joining the daytime TV ranks; and will host and produce a nationally syndicated talk show starting in 2020.
