Adefeso spoke with The Blast on Thursday and said the reality TV personality is receiving the “best available” mental health treatment possible.

The Blast also reported that Adefeso was the one who made the 911 call and told the dispatcher that Braxton had taken an unknown amount of prescription pills and had been drinking. Multiple sources told the website it was a possible suicide attempt.

“On behalf of Tamar Braxton, I want to thank her fans and the public for the ongoing thoughts and prayers,” Adefeso told the site. “Tamar is a beautifully talented woman, a devoted mother, a loving girlfriend, a dear sister and a special friend to countless people.”

“This is an extremely difficult time for Tamar and her family as she navigates professional and personal struggles including her battle with depression,” Adefeso continued. “Tamar is currently receiving the best available medical attention to address those struggles and strengthen her mental health, and her family and I will remain by her side throughout her treatment.”

As Urban Hollywood 411 previously reported, Braxton was found unresponsive at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in downtown Los Angeles on July 16. Her hospitalization came on the same day that the trailer was released for her new We tv reality series, Tamar Braxton: Get Ya Life!

She has been transferred to another hospital facility in Los Angeles to receive more specialized mental health treatment, according to The Blast.
