Tamar Braxton has turned to fans for prayers after revealing she suffered multiple injuries and “was found in a pool of blood” over the weekend.
Braxton, 48, shared details about the mystery medical emergency in an emotional post on her Instagram Stories, as captured by The Neighborhood Talk Instagram account on Aug. 19.
“I struggled to write this but everyone keeps calling me and honestly, I can’t even really talk anymore,” Braxton began. “I’m so weak. I almost died Sunday. I was found in a pool of blood from my friend with a face injury.”
The singer and reality star continued: “I fractured my nose, lost some teeth and mobility. The way I look at life now is totally different. As my health is on the mend, my mental journey begins. Pray for me for real.”
She added, “I don’t even know what happened to me.”

The Neighborhood Talk’s post had more than 600 comments.
“Sending healing prayers,” one person wrote.
“Omggggggg!!! I love Tay! Thank you God please continue to cover her,” another person commented.
But many others urged Braxton to log off of social media.
“Why is this our business… I almost died let me get on IG and tell the world,” someone posted.
“It’s giving nose job and new veneers. She’s setting it up so we don’t have questions when she pops up looking different,” someone else commented.
The “Love and War” singer has a long history of personal setbacks.
In October 2020, she sat down on the Tamron Hall show and confirmed she tried to take her life. After being found unresponsive and hospitalized, Braxton said she had felt shattered.
Braxton said her mental health suffered after she appeared with her family members on the reality shows Braxton Family Values and Tamar Braxton: Getty Ya Life! The divorced mother-of-one also admitted she struggled after breaking up with fiancé David Adefeso.
In March 2023, the Grammy-nominated singer announced her engagement to attorney Jeremy “JR” Robinson after they met on the Peacock reality dating series Queens Court.
Braxton wrote on Instagram about their relationship: “We have 6 children between the two of us and they mean EVERYTHING to me. So miss me with the he has 4 baby mamas!! Thank God for them. We are blessed and drama free.”
But there was actually a lot of drama, including Tamar accusing JR of cheating.
He responded with a video statement, saying: “I cannot keep getting attacked… I can’t keep being thrown under the bus because someone can’t control their anxiety. ”
Around the same time, there was an incident where Tamar posted on Instagram about feeling “violated.”
“I got robbed. At home. I’m not safe anywhere. I don’t know why I keep getting violated,” she shared.
Robinson took to Instagram and revealed they had broken up in an October 2023 post, just over six months after they announced their engagement. He mentioned the robbery in his post.
“Tamar and I are no longer together. I ended the relationship to focus on getting back to positive energy & being a better person,” he shared. He added about the robbery, “I wasn’t there.”
In August 2024, Braxton disabled her social media accounts after posting about being unhappy with her family, calling her relatives “toxic,” and saying she was going “into treatment.”
Instagram account Krime with Kissy made screengrabs of the posts, before Braxton deleted them.
“Y’all have NO idea!!! NONE!!! The gas lighting is CRAZY!!! And I’m going back into treatment!!!! Omg I just pray that my marriage can be saved and my life can be spared. My family is AWFUL.”
The next day, she returned to social media and said she was trying to prove a point — that people like negativity. Fans blasted her for playing games, with one writing: “Baby please go heal.”
Braxton currently stars with her famous family on the new WE tv reality series, The Braxtons. Season 2 premieres this fall. The network released a teaser and synopsis, and said the second season will be “bigger, bolder.”
Toni Braxton, Tamar, Towanda, Trina, and their mother Evelyn Braxton are all executive producers on the show.
