Mike Epps is hosting the stand-up comedy revival series.
The show will include a hip-hop 50 tribute and a segment honoring Tina Turner.
The show will air daily on BET starting in April.
“It’s time for BET to be Black-owned again,” the music mogul says.
Tyler Perry and Byron Allen have also expressed interest.
“The downfall of a relationship like that is if you want to get out of it,” Lee says.
Talks are said to be in the early stages.
This year’s awards were held on Feb. 25 in Pasadena, California.
