Steve Harvey’s daytime talk show is being replaced by Kelly Clarkson’s upcoming talk show.

The Kelly Clarkson Show will debut on NBC’s owned stations next fall in the time slot held by Steve.

Clarkson, who won the first season of American Idol and currently serves as a coach on The Voice, shot a pilot for her show two months ago, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The program was quickly picked up by the NBC Owned Television Stations group and will air on the network’s local stations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas-Fort Worth, San Francisco, Miami, San Diego, Boston, Hartford and Washington, DC.

The hour-long show will be produced by NBCUniversal Domestic TV Distribution. Clarkson and her husband, Brandon Blackstock, will serve as executive producers.

“I love connecting with people, playing games, music and finding ways to help or give back to communities/organizations,” Clarkson said in a statement. “Having my own talk show where I get to do all of these things is pretty much a dream job!”

While the new daytime entry is a big win for Clarkson, it’s a loss for Harvey.

Steve launched a year ago in Los Angeles after the comedian quit his previous talk show, Steve Harvey, in Chicago and laid off the show’s production staff.

The series aired for five seasons in Illinois before it was re-branded and moved west.

News of the relocation apparently angered staffers in Chicago, and someone leaked a memo from Harvey insisting crew members refrain from talking to him in the hallway, approaching him in the makeup chair or entering his dressing room without an appointment.

The memo, which Harvey later admitted he wrote out of frustration, warned in all caps: “IF YOU OPEN MY DOOR, EXPECT TO BE REMOVED.”
