Steve Harvey Lands New Show – ABC Courtroom Comedy ‘Judge Steve Harvey’

Steve Harvey is both the judge and the jury in a new courtroom comedy series for ABC premiering next year.

The network announced Thursday in a press release that the comedian, host and actor will be the star of a 10-episode primetime series tentatively titled Judge Steve Harvey.

Harvey will hear conflicts ranging from small claims to big disputes and will give the final ruling based on his own life experiences and common sense.

Casting is currently underway for the series.

The Family Feud host posted on his social media profiles about the show’s casting.

In an Instagram post, Harvey wrote, “Now casting nationwide for individuals with humor, heart, and passion who are ready to plead their case on #JudgeSteveHarvey.”

The courtroom comedy series is produced by Den of Thieves in association with Walt Disney Television’s newly formed alternative unit. Harvey, Brandon Williams, and Den of Thieves’ Jesse Ignjatovic, Evan Prager, Jared Morrell and Barb Bialkowski serve as executive producers, with Myeshia Mizuno as showrunner and executive producer.

In addition to his hosting gigs on Judge Steve Harvey and Family Feud, Harvey has also hosted The Steve Harvey Show, Celebrity Family Feud, Steve, Little Big Shots, Little Big Shots: Forever Young, Steve Harvey’s Funderdome, Miss Universe, New Year’s Eve with Steve Harvey, and NFL Honors among other shows.
