Kim Kardashian West opened Saturday Night Live with a biting monologue about her famous family and former family friend O.J. Simpson.
The reality star stepped on stage dressed in head to toe pink. After admitting she was an unusual choice to host the NBC sketch comedy show, she joked about never starring in a movie except for the sex tape that made her famous.
“I only had that one movie come out and no one told me it was even premiering. It must have slipped my mom’s mind,” she quipped.

Kardashian made fun of her looks, slipped in a line about plastic surgery, and skewered her mom Kris Jenner’s much-younger boyfriend, Cory Gamble.
“The one thing I’m really proud of is that no one could ever call me a gold digger,” she said. “Honestly, I’m not even sure how you become one, so I asked my mom’s boyfriend Cory.”
The studio audience applauded the Cory joke, but a punchline moments later about O.J. Simpson got mixed reaction.

Kardashian talked about her work in the fight for criminal justice reform and praised her father, late attorney Robert Kardashian, for teaching her about racial injustice and for introducing her to the “first Black person” in her life.
“Want to take a stab in the dark at who it is?” she said about Simpson. “I know it’s sort of weird to remember the first Black person you met, but O.J. does leave a mark, or several, or none at all. I still don’t know.”
Some people in the audience groaned at the reference to the killings of Simpson’s ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman.
The first-time SNL host then turned her attention to estranged husband Kanye West’s failed 2020 presidential bid and stepparent Caitlyn Jenner’s disastrous performance in California’s recent recall election.
“I know we’re divided as a country, but I’d love America to come together, which is why I’m here to announce that I’m running for… I’m just kidding guys. I’m not running for president. We can’t have three failed politicians in one family,” she said.
The social media star ended by describing West as a “talented, legit genius, who gave me four incredible kids.”
