‘Queen Sugar’ Season 4 Trailer: Tell-All Book Rips The Bordelons Apart

OWN has released a new trailer for the fourth season of Queen Sugar and it shows a new book is tearing the Bordelon family apart.

The drama explodes as Nova (Rutina Wesley) promotes her tell-all memoir that reveals some of the family’s deepest secrets. Ralph Angel (Kofi Siriboe) and Charley (Dawn-Lyen Gardner) take issue with the details Nova shares on the pages.

The new season will also show Charley facing trials and tribulations in both her personal and professional life as she continues to battle the Landry family, while also trying to ensure the safety and future of her teenage son Micah (Nicholas Ashe).

Ralph Angel is managing fatherhood and his complicated relationship with ex-girlfriend Darla (Bianca Lawson) after learning he is not the biological father of his son.

Recurring guest star Timon Kyle Durrett portrays Charley’s estranged husband and pro basketball player Davis West. Other guest stars on Season 4 include include David Alan Grier, Tevin Campbell, Erica Tazel, Kendall Clark and Walter Perez.

As Urban Hollywood 411 previously reported, each episode in the season will be led by a female director.

Based on the book by the same name from Natalie Baszile, Queen Sugar comes from filmmaker Ava DuVernay.

The series is produced for OWN by Forward Movement and Harpo Films in association with Warner Horizon Scripted Television. The show’s executive producers include DuVernay, Oprah Winfrey, Paul Garnes and Anthony Sparks.

Season 4 of Queen Sugar will premiere Wednesday, June 12 (9 p.m. ET/PT) on OWN.
