Cardi B’s performance at the 2018 Rolling Loud Festival in Los Angeles took an unexpected turn Saturday night when her estranged husband, Offset, crashed the stage to ask for a second chance.

Video posted on social media showed the I Like It rapper standing on stage as three cakes spelling out the sentence “Take me back Cardi” were rolled out in front of the audience.

Cardi appeared confused until Migos rapper Offset, walked on stage carrying a large bouquet of roses, and started to ask for forgiveness.

“I just want to tell you I’m sorry, bruh.” the Atlanta rapper said. “In person. In front of the world. I love you.”

A bewildered Cardi stood there silently for a moment as a D.J. told the crowd to “make some noise.” She then held her microphone down and talked to Offset before the lights were dimmed and the display was removed.

After the show, the New York native posted a video on Instagram about Offset’s gesture and said: “I appreciate all the love! But what I need most right now from my fans is support and respect.”

On Sunday morning, Offset’s awkward apology became a top trending topic on Twitter with many fans criticizing the Walk It Talk It rapper for his “selfish” behavior, and for “running up” on Cardi’s job.

Offset joined the conversation with a tweet explaining the reasons behind his actions.

“All of my wrongs have been made public, I figured it’s only right that my apologies are made public too…” he tweeted.

Two weeks ago, Cardi B confirmed on Instagram that the two had split amid rumors that Offset was cheating.

The pair secretly wed in September 2017, and have a daughter named Kulture, who was born in July.
