Nicki Minaj has paid tribute to her business manager, Angela Kukawski, who was recently killed in Southern California.

Minaj remembered Kukawski on an Instagram Story, writing: “Hardest working, most reliable, sweetest person you could ever know. You didn’t deserve this, Angela. My heart is breaking for your children. Rest In Peace.”

Kukawski, 55, worked at Boulevard Management in Los Angeles. Her client list included Offset, the Kardashians, Kanye West, and the estate of Tupac Shakur, according to Variety.

The mother of five was found dead in the 1500 block of Patricia Ave in Simi Valley on Dec. 23, police said. A short time later, officers arrested her boyfriend, 49-year-old Jason Barker.

Kukawski was reported missing the day before her body was located. Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department and the Simi Valley P.D. found her deceased inside her car, the LAPD said in a Dec. 29 news release. Her death was ruled a homicide.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has filed torture and murder charges against Barker.

According to local media reports, Kukawski was attacked with a knife and a firearm. The LAPD news release said detectives believe Barker killed Kukawski inside the home they shared, placed her body in the vehicle, then drove the car to Simi Valley, right outside Los Angeles.

Barker is being held on $3.07 million bail, according to inmate booking records. He is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 12, 2022.
