Lenny Kravitz just dropped a bombshell revelation on the real reason his ex-wife Lisa Bonet left A Different World.
Kravitz wrote in his newly released memoir Let Love Rule, per Page Six, that Bill Cosby decided to kick Bonet off the series after she became pregnant with their daughter Zoë Kravitz.
“You’re here to tell me you’re pregnant, aren’t you?” Cosby allegedly asked Bonet as the two met with producer Debbie Allen.

Although Allen argued for a storyline where Bonet’s character is pregnant and raising a child with the help of friends, Kravitz said Cosby immediately killed the idea.
“Lisa Bonet is pregnant,” Cosby allegedly stated, “but Denise Huxtable is not.”
Bonet exited the series after the first season in 1988, but returned to The Cosby Show following her pregnancy. However, Kravitz claims things between Bonet and Cosby remained tense.
“From then on, her relationship with Bill was tense and ultimately untenable,” Kravitz wrote.

A Different World ran for six seasons between 1987 and 1993, and saw Bonet reprise her role as Denise Huxtable after enrolling at an HBCU. The series also starred Jasmine Guy, Kadeem Hardison, Marisa Tomei, Dawnn Lewis and Sinbad.
Reps for Cosby declined comment to Page Six. Cosby is currently serving out a three-to-10 year sentence in a state prison outside Philadelphia, after being convicted of drugging and sexually assaulting a Temple University employee in 2004.
