Bad Boys fans who don’t have Spectrum cable will soon be able to see the spinoff L.A.’s Finest on network TV.
Fox announced Monday that the Spectrum Originals spinoff to the Bad Boys films will join its lineup this fall.
The series stars Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba as LAPD detectives. Season one followed Syd Burnett (Union), who was last seen in Bad Boys II taking down a drug cartel in Miami. She left her complicated past behind to join the LAPD. She’s now paired with a new partner, Nancy McKenna (Alba). The two take down the most dangerous criminals in Los Angeles while skirting the rules and speed limits.
L.A.’s Finest premiered in May 2019 and was renewed for a second season weeks later. Season 2 will debut June 8 on Spectrum’s video on demand channel.
The series is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Television, and 2.0 Entertainment in association with Sony Pictures Television.
Fox unveiled its plans to air the series as it announced its fall 2020 schedule. After the coronavirus pandemic halted production on film and TV projects, Fox was able to acquire the show from Sony Pictures Television.
