Kirk Franklin topped the list of winners Sunday night at the 35th anniversary Stellar Awards. The gospel legend picked up a leading six statues, including album of the year for Long Live Love.
Meanwhile, popular OWN drama Greenleaf won the award for special event album of the year.
The virtual show aired on BET and BET Her, and was hosted by Franklin, Jonathan McReynolds, and Koryn Hawthorne.

Among the other highlights of the evening, CeCe Winans performed “Bridge Over Troubled Water” as part of a moving tribute to late Congressman John Lewis. The show hosts also recognized COVID-19 first responder heroes.
