Kenya Moore says there’s much more to the story of her exit from The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Moore appeared on the Nov. 14 episode of Tamron Hall, and opened up about her departure from the Bravo reality show ahead of season 16.
The former Miss USA said she regreted displaying posters with explicit images of new housewife Brittany Eady at the opening of her Kenya Moore Hair Spa in Atlanta.
“If I could do it all over again — I believe the photos were very distasteful and I elevated the situation,” Moore told host Tamron Hall. “I’m taking full accountability for the thing that I’ve done. I am sorry for what I’ve done. I didn’t have to take it that far.”
The reality star said she displayed the images because she felt RHOA producers did not protect her from Eady’s alleged threats.
“I felt threatened, I never had a child and been in a situation like this before, so that’s why I escalated it to the point where I was protecting not only myself but my child,” Moore said.

As previously reported Eady was accused of making a threat against Moore involving a gun. Eady allegedly told Moore during a confrontation: “I have a gun for b–es like you.”
Moore said she retaliated in response. “I didn’t feel like I was being protected and I took matters into my own hands. I did my research on her and I found a lot of information, especially in the explicit world, with a few clicks, with people helping me,” Moore said.
It was widely reported in June that due to her behavior, Moore was forced off RHOA, but in Thursday’s interview, she claimed she was not fired.
“I am still under contract, and I am still an employee of the network,” said Moore.
Although she admitted both sides decided to “take a break for right now.” Moore also revealed that RHOA executive producer Andy Cohen has been “very supportive.”
Moore said season 16 has completed filming. A release date will be announced later.
