Katt Williams Vows to Bring ‘The Truth’ in Trailer for Netflix Special ‘Woke Foke’

Get ready for Katt Williams to unleash more truth bombs in his upcoming Netflix special, Katt Williams: Woke Foke.

Williams warns “it’s gonna be some s–t” in the teaser trailer, released on Friday, April 19.

The stand-up show will stream live from the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California, on May 4, as part of the “Netflix is a Joke” comedy festival in the Los Angeles area from May 1-12.

Chris Rock, Kevin Hart, Leslie Jones, Luenell, Wanda Sykes, Jon Stewart, Marlon Wayans, Tom Brady, and Trevor Noah, will also headline shows at the festival.

The streaming service ventured into live programming in March 2023 with Chris Rock: Selective Outrage.

Woke Foke marks Williams’ first live special on Netflix and his third overall comedy show on the platform, after World War III and Great America.

Williams has been generating headlines since January, when he sat down with Shannon Sharpe on the “Club Shay Shay” podcast.

During the nearly three-hour interview, Williams roasted Diddy, Steve Harvey, Cedric the Entertainer, Rickey Smiley, Kevin Hart, Ludacris, Jonathan Majors, and a slew of other Hollywood insiders. The interview dropped on Jan. 3, 2023, and has been viewed more than 66 million times.

Fans can catch more of Williams’ brand of comedy when Katt Williams: Woke Foke streams live on Saturday, May 4,  at 7PM PT/10PM ET on Netflix.

The special comes from Dakota Pictures and is directed by Troy Miller.
