Katt Williams is taking a stand.
The legendary comedian released a short new stand-up set on Instagram in partnership with the clothing brand Supreme. Williams addressed an empty room in the new video, and pointed a finger at President Donald Trump’s response to the coronavirus pandemic. He also explained why people should support the Black Lives Matter movement, and urged fans to go out and vote.
“Thank you, everyone and no one. Ladies and gentlemen, Katt Williams. Crickets, crickets, crickets,” he started off the set, obviously addressing the elephant in the empty room — performing without an audience.

Williams admitted times are tough for comedians right now. “That was a comedian’s version of hell right there,” he quipped about doing stand-up in an empty room.
The Emmy-winning comic quickly jumped into politics and tore into Trump’s handling of the coronavirus crisis.
“Right now, we have a perfectly suitable clown running the free world,” Williams said. “We got a guy whose advice included things that no decent crackhead would tell you to do with a gunshot wound. The man said if you have bleach, rub it on yourself. Sprinkle some in your eye. You see any UV light, walk in front of it. But these are serious times. The president is a clown.”
He called the death of George Floyd “televised murder,” and said he supports the Black Lives Matter movement.
“Let’s stick on facts. Black Lives Matter. Period,” he said. “I want to apologize if some people have seen civil unrest and didn’t understand that civil unrest is what happens every time a place is ruled by the people and people’s needs are not being met.”
He ended by acknowledging the more serious nature of his set.
“I kept most of the jokes in quarantine in case you were looking for some laughs,” he shared. “If you got some information out of it, I appreciate that. I’ve already done more than an elected official.”
Williams also debuted a much different look than we’re used to, sporting bright rainbow-colored locks that matched his spontaneous personality and hard hitting jokes.
