Kanye West Reportedly Being Used by Trump Allies ‘To Trick’ Young Black Voters

Kanye West appears to be receiving help from Republican operatives in his third-party presidential bid, in what’s being described as a scheme to siphon Black votes from Joe Biden, multiple media outlets are reporting.

There’s a concerted effort to get West on the ballot in several states in an apparent “operation run by President Trump’s allies,” according to the New York Times.

The strategic move became clear Tuesday when Lane Ruhland, a lawyer who has worked on behalf of the Trump campaign, delivered ballot signatures on West’s behalf to Wisconsin election officials.

Ruhland came to prominence during her work on behalf of the Republican Party during Wisconsin’s recount in the 2016 presidential election. She is also representing the Trump campaign in a lawsuit filed against a Wisconsin television station that aired a commercial slamming the president’s response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Meanwhile, Democrats in Wisconsin told CNN West’s presidential bid is a blatant attempt to appeal to young African Americans and siphon Black votes away from Biden.

“Thankfully the Trump team is showing their cards that the real force driving Kanye West to run is not people but Trump,” state Rep. David Bowen, a Democrat who represents Milwaukee, told the cable news network. “This is clearly a targeted effort by Republican operatives to cause confusion and problems for typically Democratic voters on election day.”

Bowen called the entire situation “sad,” and said West is being “used as a pawn to trick his own people and fans to vote for a fake campaign.”

At a South Carolina rally in July, West raised concerns about his mental health when he revealed he tried to get wife Kim Kardashian West to abort their first child. He also said his father wanted his mother to have an abortion when she became pregnant with Kanye.

“My mom saved my life. My dad wanted to abort me. My mom saved my life. There would have been no Kanye West because my dad was too busy,” West explained through tears. He then put his head in his hand and cried, “I almost killed my daughter! I almost killed my daughter!”
