As the search for missing Glee actress Naya Rivera continues, officials have released a 911 call made after Rivera’s son was found alone in a boat on Lake Piru in California.

“The emergency is, we have a missing person,” an employee of the lake’s rental boat business said. “We found a little girl in one of the boats by herself, and her mom is nowhere to be found.”

CBS Los Angeles reported that the caller initially assumed Rivera’s 4-year-old son, Josey Dorsey, was a girl because of his long hair.

The 911 call released Wednesday evening showed Rivera’s son was found asleep on the boat in a life vest. The Ventura County Sheriff Department released a file of the recording on Twitter.

The sheriff’s department also released surveillance video that showed 33-year-old Rivera and her son getting into the boat together on Wednesday afternoon, which helped investigators confirm that they were the only two people on board when it left the dock.

Sgt. Kevin Donoghue, of VCSD, said during a press conference, “We’ve had no indication, after talking to her son, that Ms. Rivera made it to shore.”

Officials announced that the search and rescue operation has now turned into a search and recovery effort, with Rivera presumed dead.
