Sibling drama, secrets, and the cost of fame are front and center in the trailer for Lifetime’s upcoming film Fame: A Temptations Story.
The movie stars NAACP Image Award-winning singer Keri Hilson and Canadian artist Keshia Chanté as two sisters in a chart-topping R&B duo whose bond is tested by jealousy and ambition.
The trailer opens with the sisters sitting down for a high-profile interview, when a reporter reminds them just how far they’ve come from singing in church.

The movie also stars Romeo Miller, Ecstasia Sanders, Nathan Witte, Veronica Long, Reese Alexander, and Sophie Carriere.
The project is executive produced by DNA Media Group’s Derrick Williams and Adriane Hopper Williams, alongside Ngozi Paul and Breanne Laplante. Robert Adetuyi directed, with Andrea Shawcross, Annmarie Morais and Jane Espenson penning the script.
Fame: A Temptations Story premieres Saturday, April 26 at 8/7c on Lifetime.
As previously reported, the movie is part of a new Lifetime franchise, which kicks off on April 19 with Desire: A Temptations Story, starring Tasha Smith and Adrian Holmes.
The first film focuses on Smith as Kendra, a popular talk show host who loses her mother, goes on vacation to heal and ends up meeting the man of her dreams, who turns out to have a checkered past.
