Sean “Diddy” Combs has been accused by federal prosecutors of witness tampering, including allegedly paying former Diddy-Dirty Money singer Kalenna Harper to release a statement voicing support for the embattled mogul.
Prosecutors made the claim in a motion on Friday, Nov. 15, urging the court to deny Diddy’s third bail request.

In the 30-page filing, posted online by journalist Meghann Cuniff, prosecutors alleged the music mogul has been breaking jail rules, using his children to “corruptly influence” witnesses, and pressuring Harper to publicly discredit her former bandmate Dawn Richard, who filed a civil lawsuit against Diddy on Sept. 10, alleging sexual battery, false imprisonment, and other crimes.
Diddy, 55, has denied all of the abuse allegations made against him in dozens of lawsuits.
Prosecutors did not mention Harper’s name in their filing, but described her as “Witness-2.”
The filing said Diddy began pressuring Witness-2 the day after Richard filed her complaint, which mentioned Harper 33 times as a witness to some of the Bad Boy Records founder’s alleged depraved behavior.
“The defendant reached out to Witness-2 on Sept. 11, and sent her a copy of the lawsuit against the defendant in which Witness-2’s name was mentioned several times,” the filing said.
Prosecutors said Diddy and Witness-2 exchanged phone calls and text messages “at least 128 times” between Sept. 11 and Sept. 15.
“Throughout these phone contacts, the defendant repeatedly asked Witness-2 when she planned to post her statement,” the filing said.
Harper uploaded a lengthy statement to Instagram on Sept. 13, saying the allegations in her former bandmate’s lawsuit “do not align” with her experiences.
“It’s important to understand that while I was present in some of the same professional settings mentioned, any of the allegations and incidents described in this suit are not representative of my experiences, and some do not align with my own truth,” Harper said.
Diddy was arrested Sept. 16 on sex trafficking and racketeering charges. He pleaded not guilty to all charges.
After the mogul was taken into custody, prosecutors said Bureau of Prisons investigators found “notes” in his cell during a jail-wide raid, indicating “the defendant paid Witness-2 after she posted her statement.”
Harper appeared on the Oct. 30 episode of the “Trappin Anonymous” podcast and said Diddy is someone she admires and “always wanted to be like.”
She said she was “angry” after finding out her named was mentioned in Richard’s lawsuit. Harper added that she thinks the lawsuit was a money grab.
“Broke motherf—rs will do anything for money,” Harper said in the interview.
