Just days after he was arrested at a New York City hotel, a docuseries about the rise and fall of Sean “Diddy” Combs has been announced.
Investigation Discovery (ID), a cable network focusing on true crime, announced Wednesday, Sept. 18, that it has a new project in the works about the disgraced music mogul.
The multi-part docuseries will offer insight into the allegations against Diddy by using archival footage and reporting from Rolling Stone.
Per ID channel the series will also include “harrowing testimony” from survivors as well as from friends and colleagues who knew and worked with Combs before he became a superstar.

According to the official description, the series will be look into “the allegations of violent behavior and illegal activity that have trailed the music mogul. As accounts of sexual assault, abusive behaviors, and other disturbing claims surface, the doc traces the story of this self-proclaimed Bad Boy, unraveling allegations of a pattern of depravity.”
Another highlight will be a look at how a “toxic power dynamic” in the music industry was one of the reasons why so many remained silent until now.
Currently, Diddy is in federal custody after he was denied bail a second time on Wednesday, Sept. 18, after U.S. District Judge Andrew L. Carter Jr. rejected the Bad Boy Records founder’s appeal for pretrial release.
He’s awaiting trial on three counts — racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
Earlier this week, Diddy’s attorney Marc Agnifilo said the arrest was “unjust.”
“We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs,” Agnifilo said in a statement. “Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community.”
ID channel’s docuseries is produced by Maxine Productions, the same film and television production company behind Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, which was released in March of this year and focused on the toxic experiences of child actors on hit Nickelodeon shows from the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Along with Maxine Productions, The Intellectual Property Corporation — which is part of Sony Pictures Television — and Rolling Stone Films are co-producing the project for ID.
The untitled docuseries will premiere in 2025 on ID and stream on Max.
