Sean “Diddy” Combs has been accused of sexual assault in a new lawsuit.
In the suit, which was filed on Monday, Jan. 13 in New York Supreme Court and obtained by People, the plaintiff alleges Diddy raped her in 2000 when she was a 16-year-old high school student.
The anonymous accuser, who is identified only as “Jane Doe” in the complaint, says she was working as a babysitter in an apartment building where Diddy’s then-romantic partner lived.
Doe says she encountered the music mogul and two unidentified men who appeared to be working for Combs at the apartment building.
Diddy allegedly asked the teen if she wanted a ride home to Lower Manhattan. The accuser claims after refusing several times, she eventually got into his car.
The woman says she first became alarmed when she was not dropped off at home, then to “calm her down,” she was offered a drink that caused her to feel “groggy” and “unsteady.”
She adds that Diddy and his two employees took her to an unnamed location and alleges that the mogul raped her.

The plaintiff says she was taken home after the horrifying incident and left in the lobby of her apartment building.
Doe’s lawyer is Michael Rubin. Per USA Today, she’s requesting a jury trial and judgment against the defendants “in a sum to be determined at a trial.”
Diddy’s attorneys denied the allegations in the lawsuit.
“No matter how many lawsuits are filed, it won’t change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted, or sex trafficked anyone—man or woman, adult or minor,” his legal team said. “We live in a world where anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason. Fortunately, a fair and impartial judicial process exists to find the truth, and Mr. Combs is confident he will prevail in court,” they said in a statement.
The Bad Boy Records founder was arrested on Sept. 16 in New York City on federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Diddy is currently jailed in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, after being denied bail by three different federal judges.
His trial is scheduled to begin in May 2025.
