Dawn Richard has issued a statement denying a claim she helped Sean “Diddy” Combs drug Qwanell “Que” Mosley of the R&B group Day26.

The former Danity Kane and Diddy-Dirty Money singer dated Que in the mid-2000s after they competed on separate seasons of MTV’s Making the Band, and signed recording contracts with groups Diddy formed.

In a recent interview with Amy Robach, T. J. Holmes, and former Danity Kane member Aubrey O’Day on the “Amy & T.J.” podcast, Que said he unknowingly took a “horse tranquilizer” during a party Diddy hosted at the mogul’s vacation house in the Hamptons.

Que said Dawn gave him the pill and told him it “was ecstasy.” He recalled Dawn telling him Diddy — then known as Puff Daddy — wanted each of them to take a pill.

At the time, Que said he thought nothing of it, because he and Dawn had “tried ecstasy before, and I trusted her.”

But he said he later realized the pill was something else, because it knocked him out, leading to a traumatic experience.

Dawn Richard Statement
In a since-deleted tweet reposted on Monday, May 26, by Baller Alert, Dawn said there was no truth to Que’s allegation.

“I want to be unequivocally clear: I have never drugged anyone, nor have I ever given anyone pills to take. The suggestion that I did so is categorically false. If such a belief were genuine, it would be inconsistent with the actions that followed — such as inviting me into your home, introducing me to your younger sisters and family, and continuing a relationship with me,” she wrote.

The statement concluded, “I believe it is essential to recognize that many people are dealing with pain and hardship. This situation is not about one person; it reflects broader harm that has affected many. I sincerely hope that healing and wholeness are possible for all involved. My intention is and always has been to move forward with compassion and integrity, and I pray that others can do the same.”

Dawn filed a sexual abuse civil lawsuit against Diddy last year and testified just days ago in his criminal trial.

Que Details What Happened
During the podcast interview, Que said Diddy appeared to be “very, very high” and unusually friendly at the party.

After taking a “red pill,” Que said he blacked out within 20 minutes.

“I woke up in the twins’ [Diddy’s daughters] bedroom in the basement, and I woke up out of my sleep, screaming very, very loud, to cameras filming me and they were laughing,” he said.

Que became emotional and started to break down in the interview.

“It felt very sacrificial,” he said. “I felt like they were trying to hurt me, or Diddy was trying to sacrifice me that night.”

Asked if he had clothes on when he woke up, Que responded: “I think I was in my shorts.”

Que’s Previous Allegations
In February of this year, Que told a similar story about Diddy in an interview on the VladTV YouTube platform and broke down in tears.

With fellow Day26 members Robert Curry, Brian Angel, Willie Taylor, and Michael McCluney by his side, Que said Diddy’s inner circle was complicit, however, he did not mention Dawn.

“They’re all f–king guilty, man. I don’t just put the blame on Sean, I blame everybody that’s in his circle, they’re all minions and they all wanna be like him,” he said.

Que did not give details on what exactly happened to him. Although he did share that he told a doctor, his family, and the people around him what he was “going through and experiencing.”

Day26 released their debut album in 2008, and according to Billboard it debuted at No. 1. on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

Despite the group’s success, Que said he’s been dealing with trauma for years.

“I’ve got to get an injection in my arm every month for mental health now, for the rest of my life.” he shared. “They diagnosed me as schizophrenic and bipolar.”

The other group members said when they learned what happened to Que, they were “in tears.”

At one point in the interview, the entire group began to cry and they had to take a break from filming.

Diddy is currently on trial facing five federal felony counts, including sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution. The mogul has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.

His attorneys have previously released a statement denying all of the allegations.

“Mr. Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts, their legal defenses, and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone—adult or minor, man or woman,” the statement read.
