Danit Kane is getting back together again, well most of the band.
Three members of Danity Kane — Aubrey O’Day, Shannon Bex and Dawn Richard announced Tuesday they are reuniting to record new music and launch a U.S. tour.
“Dawn • Dumblonde • DK3 new albums, new era, grown us. don’t miss it,” O’Day wrote on Instagram.”
Danity Kane started out with five members including Wanita “D. Woods” Woodgett and Aundrea Fimbres in 2005, when Sean “Diddy” Combs put the girl group together on MTV’s Making the Band.
They split up in 2009 amid tension and disagreements.
The group reunited, but disbanded again in 2014 after O’Day and Richard got into an altercation in a recording studio.
O’Day and Bex went on to form a duo, calling themselves Dumblonde. Richard briefly teamed up with Sean Combs and Kalenna Harper to form Diddy-Dirty Money.
The newly revamped Danity Kane, now known as DK3, will begin touring in September, they told E! News.
“We have been through a journey of a lot of ups and downs but on any journey, ya know, it requires the people involved to not be willing to let go of each other,” O’Day said to the outlet.
The group’s The Universe is Undefeated Tour will stop in New York, Las Vegas, Portland, Chicago, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and other cites.
