Chris Cuomo has tested positive for coronavirus, the CNN anchor said in a statement Tuesday.
“In these difficult times that seem to get more difficult and complicated by the day, I just found out that I am positive for coronavirus,” Cuomo tweeted.
“I have been exposed to people in recent days who have subsequently tested positive and I had fevers, chills and shortness of breath,” he added. “I just hope I didn’t give it to the kids and Cristina. That would make me feel worse than this illness!”

In a story on its website Tuesday, CNN said Cuomo was most recently at the company’s offices in New York City last Friday. He anchored from home on Monday and interviewed his brother, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
Chris Cuomo is the third CNN employee in its New York headquarters to test positive for COVID-19.
The cable news network said it has implemented “sweeping changes” as a result of the global outbreak — most employees are now working from home, anchors have been broadcasting from small studios and home offices, and its offices are being regularly cleaned.
