Cassie Ventura completed a fourth day of testimony in the sex trafficking trial of her ex-boyfriend Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Under cross-examination by defense attorney Anna Estevao on Friday, Ventura told the court she underwent intense therapy for PTSD in 2023, to help her deal with years of physical and psychological abuse by Combs.
Jurors also heard a recording of the singer and actress from 2013, when she threatened to “kill” a male acquaintance if he released a “freak off” sex video he said he had on his phone, according to the Associated Press. “I’ve never killed anyone in my life, but I will kill you,” a furious Cassie told the man. She testified that Combs took care of the situation.
Later in the day, the “Me & U” singer dropped a bombshell, revealing she expects to receive a $10 million settlement from the Los Angeles hotel where Combs was recorded on surveillance video kicking and dragging her through a hallway in 2016.

Cassie said her representatives recently reached a settlement with the InterContinental Hotel over the video, which is at the center of the prosecution’s case.
Earlier this week, the singer told the court she received a $20 million settlement from Combs and his companies after she filed a civil lawsuit against the mogul in November 2023, alleging rape and sex trafficking. Combs denied the allegations in the lawsuit.
CNN obtained the footage and published it on May 17, 2024. Two days later, Diddy posted and later deleted a video on Instagram apologizing for his behavior.
“I was fu–ed up. I hit rock bottom, but I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable,” he said.
In a court filing last year, prosecutors said the mogul paid hotel staff $100,000 “to make the original video go away.”
But on Monday, May 12, a man who previously worked on the hotel’s security team testified that he secretly recorded his own copy of the footage. The man said he responded to Diddy’s room that day and the mogul tried to bribe him.
“I started to leave and [Combs] called for me,” Israel Florez testified, according to NBC News. “He had a sack of money and he threw it at me and said, ‘Don’t tell anyone.'”
Florez told the court he declined the money. He said Combs got aggressive, but he “pinned” the mogul to a wall.
Under cross-examination, Florez admitted he never reported the incident to police. He said he recorded a copy of the surveillance footage with his phone, to show his wife because he didn’t think she would believe what happened.
Combs, 55, is charged with five felony counts, including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Ventura, 38, is eight months pregnant with her third child with husband Alex Fine. She left court after testifying.
A Homeland Security agent involved in Combs’ September 2024 arrest, and former Danity Kane singer Dawn Richard took the stand at the end of the day on Friday.
Richard was also in the group Diddy-Dirty Money and filed a lawsuit in September 2024 accusing the music mogul of verbal abuse, assault, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, false imprisonment, stealing her copyrighted work, and withholding her earnings.
