Conservative commentator Candace Owens and right-wing media company the Daily Wire have parted ways, reportedly over her comments critical of Israel.
“Daily Wire and Candace Owens have ended their relationship,” CEO Jeremy Boreing wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter) Friday morning. Boreing did not say why the company ended the relationship.

Following Boreing’s announcement, Owens confirmed she’s no longer with Daily Wire.
“The rumors are true — I am finally free,” she wrote on X.
“There will be many announcements in the weeks to come,” Owens added, along with a link for her followers to make donations to support her work.
In a follow-up post, Owens said she plans to move her self-titled podcast to her personal YouTube page, and will be “bringing the show back after a brief hiatus.”
She joined Daily Wire in 2021, and the media network distributes her podcast.
For months, she has been at odds with Daily Wire founding editor Ben Shapiro, who is Jewish, over her comments about the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
Mediaite reports Owens has accused Israel of genocide and spoken out against Jewish leaders.
The outlet said, “Owens has lashed out against ‘political Jews’ and theorized about a ‘small ring’ of ‘sinister’ Jews exerting influence in Hollywood and Washington, D.C.”
Earlier this week, Owens raised eyebrows during an appearance on The Breakfast Club, for her comments about interracial dating.
Owens, who is Black, described herself as brilliant and said she married a white man because he matched her intellect.
“It was difficult for me to find a partner that was a challenge to me,” she told host Charlamagne tha God. “People tend to marry their IQ. I fell in love with my husband just because I think he’s one of the most brilliant people ever.”
“I want every person to never allow race to be a barrier to you finding love. That is so foolish,” she added. “I dated Black men… The media tries to portray me as somebody who only liked white guys. Actually, if you want to be honest, I started off with a really strong Asian kick in my life. I thought I was going to marry an Asian man. My first boyfriend was Japanese and my second was Korean. I just really loved Asian men.”
