Shortly after Bill Cosby was sentenced to three to 10 years in state prison for sexual assault Tuesday afternoon in a Pennsylvania courtroom, authorities led the comedian away in handcuffs and released his booking photo.

The picture was taken at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in Eagleville, outside Philadelphia. It shows the 81-year-old TV legend looking distraught as he gazes down instead of at the camera.

Cosby learned his fate five months after a jury found him guilty on three counts of aggravated indecent assault for drugging and sexually assaulting former Temple University employee Andrea Constand.

“It is time for justice. Mr. Cosby, this has all circled back to you. The time has come,” Montgomery County Judge Steven O’Neill said during the sentencing hearing.

In addition to jail time, Cosby was ordered to pay a $25,000 fine and to reimburse the county for the cost of his prosecution.

Outside the courtroom, the comedian’s spokesman Andrew Wyatt said the star was subjected to the “most racist and sexist trial in the history of the United States.”

During the trial, Constand described Cosby as a mentor who used their relationship to assault her at his mansion in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania in January 2004. She said the entertainer gave her three blue pills that left her unable to move.

Cosby was first tried in 2017, but the trial ended with a hung jury.

Dozens of other women have accused him of rape or sexual assault, often after drugging their drinks, however, Constand’s case went to trial because the statute of limitations on the crime had not yet expired.
