Hip-hop stars showed up and showed out Tuesday night in Atlanta at the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards. The show will air next week.
Among the famous faces walking the “green” carpet at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center were Jermaine Dupri, GloRilla, DC Young Fly, and Flo Milli.
Rapper and record producer Jermaine Dupri wore a blue, floral-printed jacket paired with white jeans. GloRilla paid homage to Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes by rocking a custom look inspired by an outfit the late TLC rapper wore to the 1999 Source Hip-Hop Music Awards.
DC Young Fly was fly and fashionable in a tan suit and white shirt. Flo Milli wore a patterned Pucci mini dress and matching hat.

New mom Da Brat walked the carpet with wife Jesseca Harris-Dupart.
The annual music awards honor the best and brightest in hip-hop music.
DJ Spinderella of Salt-N-Pepa fame was there and wore a semi-sheer black top paired with a matching jacket.
Rapper and actor Bow Wow wore a black Saint Vanity shirt and matching shorts.
This year’s ceremony marked 50 years of hip hop, plus the 30th anniversary of Jermaine Dupri’s Atlanta-based record label So So Def.
Mega-producers and Verzuz creators Swizz Beatz and Timbaland received the Rock the Bells Cultural Influence Award recognizing their cultural contributions, talents and creativity.
DJ and music producer Marley Marl was honored with the I Am Hip Hop Award for his trailblazing work as house producer of the Juice Crew. LL Cool J and Rakim performed a special tribute to Marl.
Performers also included Tip “T.I.” Harris, Nelly, City Girls, Fabolous, Juvenile, Mannie Fresh, Tyrese, Chingy, DaBaby, Fivio Foreign, and Sexyy Red.
Bronx rapper Fat Joe hosted and executive produced the show.
21 Savage and Cardi B led this year’s nominations, with 12 nods each. Drake followed with nine nominations. Burna Boy, DJ Khaled, J. Cole, Coi Leray, GloRilla, and Jay-Z also picked up multiple nominations.
The BET Hip Hop Awards air Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 9 PM ET/PT on BET.
