The BET Awards just added more star power to the performers list, including rap legend Nas, funk legend George Clinton, and gospel legend Erica Campbell.
Alexia Jayy, Ari Lennox, Baby Keem, BJ the Chicago Kid, Durand Bernarr, Le’Andria Johnson, Rapsody and RAYE also join the performance list, along with BET Amplified artist Kenny Iko, BET said in a press release.
They join previously announced performers Cardi B, Queen Latifah, T.I., Doechii, Jill Scott, Kehlani, Common, Tems, Don Toliver, Rick Ross, The War and Treaty, and French Montana who will reunite with Max B.
“This year’s show brings together an extraordinary mix of legends, superstars, and emerging talent whose influence continues to resonate across generations,” Connie Orlando, executive vice president of specials, music programming and music strategy at BET, said in a previous statement.
Even more celebrities will be taking the stage as presenters.
Cardi B leads the nominees with a total of six nods. Kendrick Lamar and Mariah the Scientist follow with five nominations each. Doechii, Doja Cat, Clipse, Teyana Taylor, Olivia Dean, and Latto all received four nominations.
The awards will be handed out on Sunday. Hosted by Druski, the BET Awards air June 28 at 8 PM ET/PT on BET from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
