This year’s BET Awards will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the awards with a star-studded lineup of performers.
BET recently announced the list of performers set to take the stage — with the roster including 2025 BET Awards nominees Lil Wayne, GloRilla, Playboi Carti, and Leon Thomas, plus singer and actress Teyana Taylor.
“We’re setting the tone for a night that celebrates 25 years of impact, creativity, and Black culture,” Connie Orlando, BET’s executive vice president of specials, music programming and music strategy, said in a statement. “With electrifying performances from some of the biggest names in music and an iconic comedic host, BET Awards 2025 will be a can’t-miss celebration of everything the culture represents.”

Kendrick Lamar leads this year’s nominations with a total of ten nods. The Compton rapper’s nominations include album of the year for GNX and video of the Year for “Not Like Us.”
He’s followed by Doechii, Drake, Future and GloRilla with six nominations each.
Metro Boomin has five nominations. SZA and The Weeknd are tied with four nominations each.
Playboi Carti is nominated with The Weeknd for in the best collaboration and video of the year categories for their hit single “Timeless.”
Lil Wayne is nominated for best male hip hop artist and best collaboration for “Bless” with Young Thug. Leon Thomas is nominated for best new artist.
The ceremony will feature a 106 & Park reunion, marking 25 years since BET launched a music video countdown and interview show on September 11, 2000. As previously announced, former hosts A.J. Calloway, Free, Julissa Bermudez, Keshia Chanté, Rocsi Diaz, and Terrence J will reunite on stage.
Kevin Hart is booked to host the awards from downtown Los Angeles.
The BET Awards will air live from on Monday, June 9 at 8:00 PM ET on BET.
