Working for Sean “Diddy” Combs could be brutal, according to the music mogul’s former executive assistant.
George Kaplan, 34, took the stand in the mogul’s federal sex trafficking, racketeering and forced labor trial on Wednesday, May 21.
The ex-staffer testified that he worked 80-100 hours per week, according to USA Today. He said he was employed by the mogul from 2013 to 2015, with a promotion to executive assistant in 2014. The starting salary was $125,000 a year.
Kaplan described Combs as a difficult boss who threatened to fire him “maybe monthly.” He said the mogul once berated him for buying the wrong size bottle of water, and told Kaplan he wasn’t the “best” at his job.
“He’d say he was only to be surrounded by the best people,” Kaplan testified on day eight of the trial.

The executive assistant’s responsibilities included setting up hotel rooms for “freak off” sex sessions. According to Kaplan, the mogul preferred the Trump International Hotel & Tower in New York City and the InterContinental in Los Angeles — where Combs was recorded attacking his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in 2016.
Kaplan said before going to a hotel, he would get instructions from Combs or his chief of staff, Kristina Khorram, to prepare the rooms with “clothes, a speaker, candles, liquor, baby oil and Astroglide.”
He added that there were times when Combs would call and ask him to bring food and “sometimes drugs” to his room.
“I did it,” he told the court.
A prosecutor asked what drugs he would supply.
“In Miami, Mr. Combs asked me to call a person. He came and gave me a bag of pills, MDMA. I gave him cash. I gave the pills to Mr. Combs,” Kaplan testified.
“And in LA?” the prosecutor asked. “I went out and met the person in Hollywood. I gave money, he gave me a bag,” Kaplan said.
Once Combs left, it was the executive assistant’s job to clean up the room. That included removing empty alcohol bottles, wiping up the baby oil, discarding drugs, and removing all signs of a party.
The prosecutor asked why he didn’t leave the cleaning to hotel staff.
“It was implied, protect his public image. I was keen on doing that,” Kaplan responded.
Last week, Cassie testified that Kaplan quit after he witnessed Diddy allegedly beating her.
Kaplan has an immunity deal with the feds. He’ll be back on the witness stand Thursday, followed by rapper Kid Cudi.
Combs is charged with five counts. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
