Day two of the Democratic National Convention saw Barack and Michelle Obama back in the spotlight to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris as well as throw barbs at her political rival — former President Donald Trump.

Michelle Obama was the first one to speak.

Early on, the former first lady electrified the crowd in Chicago with a zinger referring to Trump’s infamous comment at the National Association of Black Journalists conference on July 31, when he said undocumented immigrants are taking “Black jobs.”

“His limited and narrow view of the world made him feel threatened by the existence of two hardworking, highly educated, successful people who also happened to be Black,” she said of Trump’s attacks on the Obamas.

“Who’s going to tell him that the job he is currently seeking might be one of those Black jobs?” Mrs. Obama asked the DNC audience.

She later called Harris “one of the most qualified people to seek the office” of president.

After Michelle, former President Barack Obama took the stage and compared Trump’s running for office to a movie sequel people know won’t be any good.

“We don’t need four more years of bluster and chaos. We’ve seen that movie — and we all know that the sequel’s usually worse,” Obama said.

He called out Trump’s obsession with crowd size, his conspiracy theories, and habit of creating “childish nicknames” for his rivals.

The former president also got the DNC crowd chuckling with a quip about what kind of neighbor Trump is.

“It just goes on and on and on,” Obama said. “The other day, I heard someone compare Trump to the neighbor who keeps running his leaf blower outside your window every minute of every day.”

Obama ended his speech by praising Harris and telling the crowd, “Let’s get to work!”

Day two also featured speeches by Senator Bernie Sanders, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and Harris’ husband, attorney Doug Emhoff.
