Days after Tamar Braxton was rushed to a hospital after being found unconscious, her former The Real co-host, Adrienne Houghton, has addressed questions asking why she’s been silent about the situation.
Houghton took to her YouTube show, Ask Adrienne Live, and answered fan questions about why she hasn’t publicly addressed Braxton’s hospitalization — saying that some aspects of her private life aren’t “for social media.”
“I know there was a lot of questions, coming on here specifically about Tamar, and I just think for me, everything isn’t for Instagram, everything isn’t for social media, and I know you guys know that,” Houghton said as she stood next to husband Israel Houghton. “I think it’s important to know that real life is so much more important than social media.”
Braxton was hospitalized in Los Angeles on Thursday night. Houghton described the circumstances surrounding the situation as “really delicate,” and asked fans to pray for the singer and reality star.
“I absolutely think that we all should be praying for her, but not praying for her on social media posts,” she said. “Pray for her in real life. So that, to me, is important. Reaching out to somebody in real life is important.”
As Urban Hollywood 411 previously reported, Braxton, 43, was found unresponsive on July 16. According to The Blast, she was found by her boyfriend, David Adefeso and some sources believe it was a possible suicide attempt.
NeNe Leakes, Braxton’s friend, also took to Instagram live to update fans on Braxton’s condition — revealing that she’s “getting the proper help that she needs.”
“I was trying to be her support system and she was being my support system,” Leakes said. “Tamar is now getting the proper help that she needs. I am going to let her talk to you guys when she’s able to talk to you guys.”
