‘Act Your Age’ Set to Return With New Episodes on Bounce TV

The ladies of Act Your Age are returning to TV screens.

Bounce TV announced Wednesday new episodes of the comedy series starring Kym Whitley, Tisha Campbell and special guest star Yvette Nicole Brown will premiere on June 3.

The half-hour sitcom follows three successful women in their 50s in the Washington D.C./Northern Virginia-area, who find themselves at personal crossroads and decide the best way forward in life is together.

Whitley (You People) plays Bernadette, a no-nonsense real estate developer. Campbell (Martin, My Wife and Kids), portrays Keisha, the wild card of the group who is always up to something. Brown (Community) plays Angela, the former first lady of Norfolk, Virginia, who is looking to redefine her life after being left widowed by her husband, a revered career politician.

The cast also includes Mariah Robinson and Nathan Anderson as the 20-something children of Angela and Bernadette, respectively.

Alyson Fouse created Act Your Age and serves as showrunner and executive producer. The series is produced by MGM Television and executive produced by Barry Poznick, Bradley Gardner and David Hudson; and co-executive produced by Ranada Shepard and Ken Ornstein.

The two-part first season debuted with back-to-back episodes on Saturday, March 4, with a total 2.14 million viewers, according to Nielsen figures.

The debut telecasts were the most-watched half-hour series launch in Bounce history. The show was also the No. 3 new comedy of the season, after NBC’s Night Court and Lopez vs. Lopez.

Act Your Age returns on Saturday, June 3 with back-to-back episodes starting at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT, kicking off the second half of the 16-episode first season on Bounce TV. The series will run weekly on Saturday nights throughout the summer.
