Cynthia Bailey Joins Cast of Lifetime Movie ‘Paradise with You’

Cynthia Bailey is expanding her acting resume with a role in the upcoming Lifetime movie Terry McMillan Presents: Paradise with You.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star joins Taye Diggs and Heather Hemmens in the cast.

The original movie features Diggs as “Carter,” an NFL superstar on the brink of retirement, who jets off to the Caribbean island of Nevis to reset his life and finds romance.

The supporting cast includes All American actor Troy Brookins; and creator, musician and actor Q Stenline aka SwagBoyQ.

Diggs and Hemmens serve as executive producers alongside bestselling author Terry McMillan. The film will air later this year as part of the cable network’s “Love of a Lifetime” movie slate.

“Love of a Lifetime has become synonymous with heartfelt, elevated storytelling and unforgettable performances,” Elaine Frontain Bryant, executive vice president and head of programming at A&E and Lifetime, said in a recent press release.

This weekend the Nevis Film Commission posted a picture on its Facebook page of the cast on the Island. “It was truly an honour to share our island’s beauty, warmth, and spirit with the cast and crew,” the commission wrote.

The movie marks the fourth collaboration between McMillan and Diggs after the feature film How Stella Got Her Groove Back (1998); Lifetime’s Terry McMillan Presents: Forever (2024); and the network’s Terry McMillan Presents His, Hers & Ours (2025).

Terry McMillan Presents: Paradise with You is produced by The Ninth House in association with Motion Entertainment, a WPP Media company.

The film will be accompanied by the micro vertical Tides of Temptation.

Described as a “digital offshoot” of Paradise with You, the vertical movie stars SwagBoyQ, Troy Brookins, Mea Wilkerson, and David John Craig.

Set on the island of Nevis, the movie follows a young woman named “Constance” (Wilkerson), who is trapped in a life controlled by her demanding brother and her abusive boyfriend. When an ambitious young athlete (SwagBoyQ) enters her life, everything changes.

Taye Diggs executive produces alongside Autumn Federici and Shelby Stone.

“We approached this as a fully realized dramatic project, not just short-form content. It’s an opportunity to bring emotional depth and visual ambition into a format designed for today’s audiences,” said Diggs.

The movie marks Lifetime’s first micro feature in the vertical space. Tides of Temptation premieres later this year, following the debut of Terry McMillan Presents: Paradise with You.
