Bad things happen in the trailer for Netflix murder mystery series, His & Hers.
Tessa Thompson (Hedda and Passing) and Emmy winner Jon Bernthal (The Bear and We Own This City) star in the upcoming limited series.
Thompson plays a news anchor and reporter named Anna. When a heinous crime occurs in the small Georgia town where she grew up, Anna pushes to be assigned the story.

Bernthal plays Detective Jack Harper, who happens to be married to Anna. After a young woman is found stabbed 40 times, Harper tells his colleagues the victim likely knew her killer.
“That’s premeditated. It’s personal,” he explains.
His wife knows a secret, Harper had a close personal connection to the victim, which gives them both motive in the killing.
“I didn’t hurt her, Anna. Do you know who did it?” the detective asks his wife.
“One of us might know who the killer is,” she says.
Based on a novel by the same name from author Alice Feeney, the tagline for the drama reads, “There are two sides to every story: HIS & HERS, which means someone is always lying.”
The cast also includes Pablo Schreiber, Crystal Fox, Sunita Mani, Rebecca Rittenhouse, Marin Ireland, and Poppy Liu.
William Oldroyd, Dee Johnson, Bill Dubuque, and Tessa Thompson are executive producers.
The six-episode His & Hers premieres Jan. 8 on Netflix. Watch the trailer below:
