Kevin Durant will tell his story, in his own words, in an upcoming Netflix documentary series.
The streaming service announced details on the project this week, saying the series will show Durant, 37, in “his most revealing and unfiltered” interview to date.
The authorized series will chronicle the NBA star’s life on and off the court — from growing up in the Washington, D.C. area, to his career and legacy after 18 seasons in the league.

Durant’s mother, father, and brother, will also appear in the series, along with some of his coaches and teammates from his early upbringing to college, the NBA, and his fellow U.S. Olympics teammates.
Filming began before the 2023-2024 season and ahead of the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics. Production has continued into the current NBA season.
The series comes from OBB Pictures and Boardroom, the sports and entertainment company Durant founded with Rich Kleiman.
“It’s incredibly exciting to partner with one of the greatest to ever practice their craft. Kevin is undeniably one of the best to ever play basketball, but he’s also a fascinating individual with an untold story that will inspire and excite everyone who watches,” said OBB founder and CEO Michael D. Ratner.
The project is directed by Emmy Award winners Michael D. Ratner (Kids Are Growing Up; Justin Bieber: Our World; Dancing with the Devil) and Robert Alexander (A Man Named Scott, SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night, Shaq).
Executive producers include Ratner, Scott Ratner, Kfir Goldberg, Camille Maratchi, Robert Alexander, Rich Kleiman, and Sarah Flynn.
A premiere date will be announced later.
