Less than two weeks after learning who the Super Bowl LX halftime show performer will be, one group plans to counter-program the performance with a rival show.

Turning Point USA, the conservative advocacy group founded by the late Charlie Kirk, said Thursday, Oct. 9 it will host “The All American Halftime Show” during football’s biggest night on Sunday, Feb. 8.

“HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT It’s true, Turning Point USA is thrilled to announce The All American Halftime Show,” the group wrote on Instagram. “Performers and event details coming soon.”

A second slide on the announcement reads: “Celebrating Faith, Family & Freedom,” and directed readers to a website inviting visitors to vote on the kind of music they want to see. Options include “Anything in English, Americana, Classic Rock, Country, Hip-Hop, Pop, and Worship.”

The move comes after the NFL confirmed Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny will headline the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show. The rapper and singer, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, will make history as the first Latino male artist to lead the event.

Known as the “King of Latin Trap,” there’s a good chance he could perform his entire set in Spanish.

His selection quickly drew criticism from some conservatives. MAGA commentator Benny Johnson called the artist a “Massive Trump hater” and “anti-ICE activist” on Instagram, adding, “The NFL is self-destructing year after year.”

Bad Bunny has previously spoken out about immigration issues and ICE detentions under the Trump administration. He told i-D magazine he even removed U.S. stops from his Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour out of fear that “f–king ICE could be outside” concert venues.

Over the weekend, the Grammy winner hosted the Saturday Night Live season 51 premiere and addressed critics directly. Switching between English and Spanish, he thanked Latino men and women all over the world and in the U. S., who “worked to open doors.”

He said his Super Bowl gig is “a win for all of us,” adding, “If you didn’t understand what I just said. You have four months to learn.”

Still, backlash has continued, with some opponents arguing the reggaeton genre star isn’t “mainstream” enough because most of his songs are in Spanish.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem even vowed immigration agents will be dispatched to Super Bowl LX next year at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Jay-z’s Roc Nation and Jesse Collins Entertainment will executive produce the Apple Music Super Bowl LX halftime show.

Turning Point USA has not yet said where its rival halftime program will air.
